Summary
*Korea is one of the most strategic markets in Asia/Pacific for PopCap Games, being at the forefront of online gaming and one of the largest gaming markets in the region. Accordingly, PopCap has made a priority of establishing and growing its presence in the Korean market. The Country Manager – Korea is tasked with capitalizing on PopCap’s earlier successes in Korea to accelerate PopCap’s growth in Korea even further and to help extend PopCap’s leadership in the casual gaming space to the market by establishing PopCap Games as one of the leading casual gaming brands.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
*Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for introducing and adapting PopCap’s games to Korea across channels which include online, social and mobile. This includes:
*Identify and prioritize key partners, and quantify the opportunities.
*Develop intelligence on the casual game industry in Korea by playing current games, gathering and analyzing relevant industry news and reports, and building and maintaining a network of industry insiders.
*Review regulations that might affect PopCap’s business in Korea, and stay on top of trends and new regulations as they evolve which may affect our business in the future.
*Translate business vision and strategy into operational tactics and build organizational support and infrastructure in Korea needed to achieve them, including sales & marketing, studio, and online operations resources.
*Oversee identification, negotiation, and closing of deals in Korea for PopCap games across a variety of platforms or channels. Oversee execution of signed deals by ensuring that both partners and PopCap carry out their mutual obligations; look for opportunities to expand existing relationships with new business opportunities or new products.
*Ensure that the right PopCap games are built for the Korean market, either by working with PopCap’s Shanghai game studio to build, localize, and adapt existing games for Korea, or by working with local partners to develop new products in Korea based on a license to PopCap IP.
*Build strong, high performing teams by attracting, retaining, and growing top talent.
*Participate in strategic planning activities with APAC regional senior management to help develop APAC growth strategies for PopCap.
*Help forecast, then achieve, aggressive growth and revenue targets for PopCap in Korea.
*Launch and operate social and online games across multiple platforms and with multiple partners in Korea.
*Provide day-to-day management of any staff at PopCap’s Korea office
Experience and Qualifications
*Proven leader with experience establishing strategic and operational directions that drive success of an enterprise.
*7+ years of management experience.
*5+ years in executive roles, ideally with exposure to both product and business
*3+ years direct experience working in either the mobile, social, or online game industry.
*Experience managing a $3M+ business with full P&L ownership.
*Proven track record of achieving results in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
*Passion for casual or social games and game products.
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
*Good analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
*Ability to work with minimal supervision, occasionally under tight deadlines.
*Fluency in Korean (written and spoken), good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
*International experience a plus.

Summary
*The Japan Product Manager will be responsible for operating PopCap’s first set of “free-to-play” social games in Japan. Success in this role demands a native understanding of the Japanese games market and player behavior as well as close collaboration with support teams in China. The Japan Product Manager will also work with PopCap’s third party operations partners in Japan to help them successfully operate the same products.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
*• Operate PopCap’s “free-to-play” online and social games effectively to maximize profitability without sacrificing an immersive, quality player experience, which includes:
*o Moderate social game community to ensure message stay on topic and to provide valuable user feedback and user insights to the core operations team.
*o Communicate with platform partners to ensure we are aware of any upcoming changes to the service.
*o Communicate with platform partners to ensure their prompt response to enquiries such as bug fixes and feature requests.
*o Assist in calculating and adjusting the prices of in-game items and monitor the in-game economy to maximize monetization.
*o Assist users who are having difficulties with our game and provide support by answering their queries in a timely manner.
*• Apply an understanding of players and player psychology to help design promotional events and campaigns that are suitable to the Japanese market and execute it.Participate in the new product development process, which includes:
*o Identify and suggest improvements or new features to facilitate more efficient or profitable operations.
*o Write requirements for any operations tools required for successful operation.
*o Participate in design reviews for new and upcoming releases.
Experience and Qualifications
*• 1-2 years experience in online game operations.
*• Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
*• Passion for creating fun and compelling user experiences.
*• Strong communication skills, able to work with members with international backgrounds.
*• Strong language skills including native Japanese and fluent in either Chinese or English a must.
*• Understand the importance of user experience and be able to answer a user’s question with satisfactory result.

*• Previous experience operating online or social titles a strong plus.
Summary
*We are looking for a talented, highly motivated, experienced mobile engineer to join us and help to enhance our current games and to develop next generation applications on various kinds of mobile platform including Android, iPhone/iPad, Windows Phone, etc. The candidate should be a self-motivated engineer who is able to code any game system including gameplay, audio, framework, rendering and networking.
Responsibilities:
*Join a newly organized mobile team to maintain and enhance existing game titles, as well as to develop next generation social mobile games.
*Perform and participate in coding, unit testing and interacting with backend server.
*Participate in game design and development of prototypes, system architecture and functional modules.
*Cooperate with internal QA engineers closely for the defects investigation as well as the acceptance tests for Alpha, Beta and formal releases.
*Research mobile frameworks and the necessary backend infrastructure and technologies that can be used for social mobile game development.
*Help to create the technical specification and software architecture documents.
*Regularly communicate project progress, issues, and risks to project manager.
*Work with engineering teams located in Dublin to ensure development is coordinated across two teams.

Required Skills
*BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
*5 years of software development experience.
*At least 3 years of experience in mobile game development using C++, Objective C or Java.
*Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
*Highly proficient in C++ and OpenGL.
*Detailed knowledge on one of the mobile platforms, Android, iPhone/iPad and Windows Mobile.
*Substantial knowledge of network programming, multi-threading and TCP/IP protocols.
*Knowledge of internationalization and localization engineering.
*Experience with social mobile application development especially on Android is highly desired.
*Experience with native programming on Android is a big plus.
*Knowledge on scripting languages, such as PHP, Python, Ruby and Lua is a plus.
